Product Description

Following Epsons lead with the Ecotank series, Canon embraced the CIS style of ink supply, with their own G series Megatanks but, like Epson they forgot about the waste ink.

The Printer Potty Solo-G2 has been developed to provide a fully supported end-user solution that will help deal with the 5B00 error and make it easier to deal with the waste ink and keep your Megatank printing for a lot longer.

 

Design Features:

  • 30 cm waste tube extension
  • Tank valve closes automatically when disconnecting from the waste tube
  • A tight liquid proof seal around the fitting stops any leakage
  • Simple to install, easy to maintain.
  • Tanks are all re-usable after emptying
  • Includes instructions to clear/reset waste counter and clear the 5B00 error (WICReset key no longer required).

 

 

Instructions & Support

We have provided a detailed video that covers installation on the Canon G2500 model along with a guide for resetting/clearing the waste counter.

The process does require a small hole to be made in the printer case to allow the waste ink tube to be extended out of the printer to connect to the external waste ink tank so some tools are needed but nothing beyond the normal household toolkit.

  1. Far better than pads soaking up the ink – 5/5

    "I have owned my Canon Pixma G3500 for four years, I have had the dreaded 5B00 error meaning the ink counter has reached 100% twice in those four years, the first time I just bought a WIC Reset Key and cleaned the foam pads and replaced them. Two years later I had the error again, only this time after finding the Octoinkjet site, I purchased the Printer Potty and WIC Reset Key.

    This is a brilliant way to collect the waste ink, far better than pads soaking up the ink in the back of the printer. Anyone thinking of buying a Printer Potty should not hesitate to do so as they are so simple to install and the WIC Reset Key is easy to use as well.    "
