This ink is our standard compatible ink to refill the PGI-72BK & PGI-9BK cartridges
Best used with Matt, Lustre and similar media
These inks are also part of our PGI-9 version 2 ink set as some of the PGI-9 and 72 inks share the same properies (including this one)
An alternative ink is available for high gloss media where rough handling is required.

Detail:

During development of this and other Canon pigment ink sets we found that it was incredibly difficult to get Photo Black inks to adhere (stick/bond) to a small number of Gloss papers. As such this ink is not recommended for use with Canon Pro Platinum or Plus Glossy II papers.

Results on Matt, Lustre and most other media types are excellent and we would recommend this ink for the bulk of our customers.

We also offer an alternative (Gloss Enhanced) ink for the PGI-72BK where gloss media and rough handling are anticipated.
