Please note:

  • This listing is solely for customers who have purchased a Printer Potty type kit from us at OctoInkjet (or any of our other outlets) and the item has fallen out of warranty.
  • We do not sell these valves for non-kit owners
  • If your kit is still within warranty (ie: purchased less than 2 years ago) then please contact us with your order details and we will replace it free of charge.

 

Printer Potty kits include a valve as part of the tank which self-closes when disconnected from the coloured tube connector. Due to the stresses involved the out screw thread moulding on the valve can fail but the part is easily replaceable which is why we provide replacements.

If you have a kit with this problem please provide your order reference and point of sale (eg: OctoInkjet store, eBay, etc...) so we can confirm the order for prompt dispatch.

Specification:

  • Part: Valve x1 (replacement for Printer Potty units)

 

 

Replacement procedure

  1. Secure the white (or black) plastic part (with the moulded nut that goes into the waste tank) using some needle nose pliers.
  2. Twist the valve off (anti-clockwise) using a different set of pliers .
    IMPORTANT: It's critical that only the valve twists and not the tank mount itself

  3. Clean any glue residue around the end of the mount point.
  4. Twist on the replacement valve (clockwise) so that it's finger tight. Avoid over-tightening.
