"Having filled the ink tanks with the ink provided I printed out a test page with many different images including photos and colour ramps. It is clear that this ink is predisposed to giving a green hue to print-outs. This has been reported also in the comments on a blog (http://alexeames.com/blog/tag/review/) about this same ink.
If anyone is interested, this can be easily rectified on a canon printer by going into My Printer > Printer Settings > Main > Setting Colour Intensity to Manual > Set > Putting the Magenta Slider to 12.
This setting may not stay saved, and it is wise to check it before printing, when the printer settings dialogue comes up. I haven't done enough printing to say for sure.
Other than this easily sorted problem, this ink is excellent, and the refill kit is simple enough."

"Very pleased with the results. Even had the short plugs for the specific printer :).
First refill of full set of 5 cartridge took about 3 hours due to having to do 'once only' things like remove labels and sealing ball; remove ink bottle inner seals; find a candle to heat awl; read instructions (again!); etc. I expect it'll be an hour or so in the future.
My main additional tip would be to use a set of precision digital scales to gauge how much ink still needs adding. I used item VV52G from Maplin to fill to about 40g (PGI-525) / 24g (CLI-526) total weight (with the kit's sealing clip).
Wish I'd bought an extra set of plugs so that I could refill additional spare tanks for immediate swap over."
