These are the original Orange cartridge clips/covers supplied with OEM/Original PGI-9 and PGI-72 cartridges. They are perfect for refillers who want to have more than one set of ink cartridges refilled and ready at one time.

The plastic holder (containing a silicon part) clips firmly onto the base of the cartridge and seals it shut, stopping ink from escaping, and air from drying out the sponge/ink.

These clips/holders are ideal for anyone wanting to:

• Pre-fill and store a one or more spare cartridges ready for quick swaps
• Keep cartridges in long term storage

Ideally they allow users to create one or more pre-filled cartridges (or even sets) so that as cartridges reach empty, or low, in the printer they can easily be swapped for the full spares and refilled while the printer continues printing.

Tip:

Most waste ink generation occurs during cartridges changes and it is especially inefficient to change single cartridges as they reach low. A more efficient approach is to have a spare set of pre-filled (and reset) cartridges ready and completely swap ALL of the cartridge set as soon as one indicates replacement is required. This ensures that the printer only needs to run a single repriming routine for all 10 cartridges instead of one for each cartridge in a "normal" replacement approach. So, you effectively reduce waste to one tenth in one easy step.
