Product Description

This inkset has been developed by OctoInkjet and designated our version 2 (v2) ink to help differentiate from the original Image Specialists formulation.

As we expect the original formulation to be discontinued at some point in the future we are recommending this ink set for new customers who haven't already purchased the original formulation. STS-inks (the new owners of the Image Specialists brand) are slowly retiring many of the Image Specialist products in favour of their own ink blends.

Full Description

The Canon Pixma Pro-9500 Mk I & II printers are both excellent pigment ink printers and while recently superceded by the Canon Pro-10 still provide an excellent result on a variety of media.

This particular ink set was developed in tandem with the Canon Pixma Pro-10 inks and uses some of the same inks to produce some excellent, vibrant and high quality print results.

OctoInkjet are developing a series of media specific paper/media profiles for a range of brands ranging from Hahnemuhle, Kodak, Permajet, Fotospeed, Canson, Canon (OEM) and more and we're happy to take suggestions for additional media to incorporate into our library.

If you are new to refilling then we strongly recommend purchasing the appropriate refill bundle so you have the full range of tools and our own SquEasyFill refill system which can be used with both our force fill adapted clip or the dribble refill method. Both approaches take full advantage of the ease with which PGI-9 cartridges can be refilled.

In coming weeks, we will soon have a range of remanufactured PGI-9 cartridges prefilled with our Version 1 and 2 inks in for anyone who wishes to try them one or both formulations for minimal expense and no need to refill.
