Product Description

Bulk ink compatible with Epson K3 Printers (eg: R2400, R2880, R3000 and many wide format printers).

These inks are quickly becoming our preferred brand for the relevant printers. With excellent adhesion, vibrant colours and a reduced tendancy to clog. Bronzing has been noted on some specific papers and lighting scenarios but we are now recommending this ink over our existing inksets.

 

Hybrid Photo Black Mix

As a result of research by one of our customers, a hybrid Photo Black mix that combines inks from the Powerchrome K3 and Image Specialists K3 range has been identified as the most effective pigment black replacement for an ink set of this type. We're making this hybrid available as an option to customers who wish to use it.

* Black Types:

  • Photo black will work with all media types albeit with muted output on matt(e) media.
  • Matt black is best for matt/lustre media.
  • A hybrid Photo Black mix consisting of Powerchrome K3 + Image Specialists Photo Blacks (50:50 mix) as recommended by one of our customers (Refs)

 

**The 50ml and 125ml volumes (where applicable) are supplied in bottles that will fit the SquEasyFill system/lids
(SquEasyFill lids are not supplied - please purchase seperately)

 

Special Notes for 6 colour printer usage:

While these inks are loosely compatible with six colour/ink printers (eg: Photo 1400, 1500W, Artisan 1430, P50, etc..) there are some special considerations to keep in mind:

  1. Blacks
    The different blacks tend to create varying effects including bronzing, "odd" colouration, etc.  so some experimentation is required to determine the best black to use for your particular media.

  2. Clogging
    While we would expect these inks to clog more readily in dye ink printer printheads, we have found that they are actually working quite well with minimal cleaning required. We would still advise regularly printing to keep things moving and keep any clogging issues to a minimum.
